EVOH, ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer, improves the prevention of oxygen transmission in co-extruded plastic films. Although the complete prevention is not possible for water vapor transmission, EVOH barrier film will be a proper choice for products sensitive to oxygen transmission. In EVOH co-extrusion film applications, EVOH forms such a layer like nucleus in the multilayer films and this layer is covered by polyethylene layers to prevent the product from moisture.
